    Glasses color spraying process

    This article takes METAL SUNGLASSES as an example to talk about the oil injection process of Metal Eyewear. We know that metal glasses can use electroplating process, and Titanium Glasses mainly use IP electroplating process, but these colors are relatively rare and generally There are gold, silver, gun, rose gold, etc. Some brighter colors must use spraying process, also called oil spraying. It can be said that the oil injection process is also one of the most commonly used coloring processes for metal glasses.

    This article mainly explains the color spraying principle of metal glasses and TITANIUM eyewear frames. Spray a layer of colored paint on the surface of the glasses frame.

    2. The basic process of color spraying. Rack washing - electric base (electro nickel, IP, black chrome, white chrome base, etc.) - drying (baking) - spray color oil - drying - QC shipment

    3. Advantages and disadvantages of spray color. It has rich colors and good gloss, and can be mixed into various colors. The disadvantage is that the adhesion is average, it is relatively easy to discolor and scratch.

    4. Applicable glasses types. Various gold frames. For mid-to-low-end eyeglass frames, and some colors that cannot be covered by water plating or IP electroplating, the oil spray process must be used. In addition, there are some two-color glasses, such as two-color glasses with gold and black colors. Generally, the gold color is first applied, and then black is sprayed (then erase the areas where gold needs to appear, or apply isolation oil in advance, and then spray black paint, Just clean it off);

    5. Color surface of oil injection process. Generally, there are light color, matte color, two-color and gradient color, etc. Since the oil injection process is mainly made by mixing toner, in theory it can be adjusted to any color you want.

    6. Other related matters. Some factories make injection molded frames or plate frames. In order to save costs (and spend less time polishing), after the frames are completed, a thin layer of transparent oil is sprayed on the entire glasses frame to make the surface of the glasses appear brighter. . But the texture is still not as good as the effect of direct polishing. This process is commonly used for plastic glasses and TR90 Glasses, while plate glasses are generally rarely used.
